STAYING WARM & FEELING CUTE IN LAYERS

Winter is right around the corner, which means it is the season for wearing as many things in your closet as possible to stay warm and dress according to the cold weather temperatures. Piling on the layers does not mean that you need to feel bulky and uncomfortable. There are a bunch of fashion-forward layering tips and tricks that we have for you to ensure that you stay warm this winter but are still looking cute!

Drape Your Jacket

This style tip takes all of one second to achieve and it can make your layered-up outfit look way fancier than it actually is. Draping your jacket over your shoulders not only adds a layer of warmth, and gives you major cool points. It is super easy to do and makes the warmest of looks look chic.

Long Cardis & Mini Dresses

Maybe for a potential special occasion, you have a cute mini dress you want to wear but you are a little cautious because you do not want to freeze to death, totally understandable. Obviously, a coat is a good idea in this case, but if you want to add an extra layer, a longer cardigan is such a cute way to layer up a short dress and add some dimension.

Go for A Turtleneck

Some people are so quick to judge a good turtleneck that they knock it before they even try it. Turtlenecks are such a key element of layering. You can wear a short sleeve t-shirt under a heavier turtleneck sweater or wear a thinner turtleneck underneath a crewneck sweater or t-shirt for an edgier but still warm, element.

Long Sleeves Under Short Sleeves

Going hand in hand with the turtleneck, wearing a cool graphic t-shirt over a long sleeve shirt has been a big trend over the last few years. This is a really cool way of staying warm and also being able to mix up some patters or prints. An oversized t-shirt over a more fitted long sleeve piece is sure to keep you comfy and cute.

All About the Balance

With layering comes the potential of feeling bulky and uncomfortable and not all that confident in your look. If you find yourself feeling a little bit bulky up top with either a sweatshirt or a chunky sweater, underneath a jacket, balance it out by staying slimmer or fitted on the bottom. A pair of cozy leggings or your go-to pair of skinny jeans can be the perfect way to balance out this kind of look.
