GIFTING CLOTHES FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Gift-giving can definitely be a stressful situation. Since there is nothing, we love more than giving the people we love something that they will absolutely love, there is always a crazy amount of pressure to nail it when buying a gift for someone. If you are a distant relative or if the person you are buying for just simply does not have a Christmas list, you are basically on your own in terms of picking out the perfect gift. We have come up with a few tips when it comes to specifically gifting clothing!

For The Newborn
A baby’s first Christmas is always so exciting, but a family can only take in so many “First Christmas” bodysuits, onesies, dresses etc. Try going for something that the baby is going to be able to wear well after the holidays. A multi-pack of either solid or neutral-colored bodysuits is always a smart choice or a couple of outfit sets that can mix and match easily to give more options.

For The Toddler
Toddlers are in their prime stage of exploration, discovery, and obsession. Odds are the child you are buying for has some kind of character, animal, or animated movie obsession. Find out what this is from a family member if possible and look for a tee shirt, sweatshirt, or full outfit that has their current obsession printed all over it. It will no doubt, automatically become their new favorite thing to wear.

For The Kid Discovering Their Own Style
There is nothing and no one pickier than a kid, whether it be a girl or a boy, starting to discover what they like and dislike, as they develop their own personal style. You can buy them something that you are sure they are going to love, but nine times out of ten that item is likely to be returned. Play it safe here and just buy them some cold weather accessories, a hat, a scarf, gloves. It is something every kid needs and will definitely put to good use.

For Her
If you are lucky, your significant other has given you a list of things to choose from that she wants for Christmas this year. But, if you are not that lucky, make sure that you at least get the size right. Leading up to your shopping trip, listen closely for any hints. When it comes to the shopping trip, visit stores you know that she visits and likes. If you are completely lost, do not be shy to ask the sales associates for some help, that is what they are there for. And do not overthink because anything that you gift your special someone will be much appreciated.

For Him
When shopping for him, odds are you already have a pretty good take on his sense of style. Again, stick to the stores that you know he already has some pieces from, and do not stray far from the brands that you know he already has in his closet. A lot of the time, guys a missing a key staple piece from their wardrobe simply because they do not know they need it. Whether it is a pair of khakis, some simple t-shirts, a nice pair of dress shoes, or even an accessory. Find out what is missing and be the one to go out and buy it for him!
Christmas can most definitely be a very stressful time of year, and gift-giving plays a huge part in that. We hope that the tips we have provided you about gifting clothes specifically this holiday season and helpful and ease some of the pressure that you might be feeling!
