Celeb Style Inspo Scouting

The chances of you finding one person, celebrity, or influencer whose style completely embodies your own is unlikely.  Our best efforts come from inspiration; we find it’s best to find at least five different people whose styles inspire you. There are multiple outlets we all use to inspire ourselves from the styles of others. We find that outlets such as Pinterest, Google, Instagram are tools that we can use for inspiration. Once you begin to understand what stands out to you, you’ll be able to see a pattern that embodies your aesthetic which will help you to curate your style.

Put A Label on It

Take another glance at all of the style inspiration photos you have curated and start to think of some words to describe the outfits you have picked. Are the looks edgy, bohemian, modern, vibrant, minimalistic? The list is endless however it is always helpful to narrow down a handful of words that resonate and ultimately help you embrace your own personal style. Once you have this list, it will be effortless to go back and reference an aesthetic that will help to define your look.

Be Aware of Repeats

Odds are there is something in your wardrobe that makes the doors in your closet difficult to close, narrowing down these items can be both cathartic and exciting. Whether it is oversized t-shirts, black booties, or floral print blouses. There is a reason that this piece or pattern or color is showing up in your closet more than once. You are purchasing these things over and over because you feel comfortable in it and it obviously brings you some form of joy. If the item works for you and makes you feel good, go with it. Relying on a staple piece is part of finding your “signature style.”

Keep an Ear Out

What is the one thing that you get complimented on the most? Is it how you style dresses or how well you accessorize your outfits? Pay attention to these compliments as they can really help you define what you do best when it comes to your looks. There is nothing wrong with playing up your style strengths to achieve your best looks.

Trust your instincts, and wear what makes you feel like the best version of yourself inside and out. If your style is more classic and conservative, maybe wearing the season's most outlandish will take you out of your comfort zone and introduce you to a piece you adore. It doesn’t matter how your peers review it, the ultimate goal is to feel confident and comfortable in your style. It is important to keep an eye out for trends that may take you out of your comfort zone, it can be exhilarating and help you to trust your newfound sense of style. Chances are you already have a winning sense of style, so embrace it, refine it, and don’t fight it.
