5 SHADES OF FALL

For the current fall and winter 2020 seasons, there are so many new and returning trends that it is almost hard to keep up. Between the 90’s, 70’s and even the 40’s styles all making a comeback, on top of the new styles, patterns and silhouettes that designers are coming up with, it can be hard to recognize and appreciate color. But this season there are so many hot and trending colors that we have narrowed it down to our five favorites that are definitely trend setting, yet easy to incorporate into your everyday wardrobe.
Pistachio Green

While olives, emeralds and neon greens were dominating the spring and summer, pistachio is a sophisticated and modern alternative for the fall and winter seasons. It’s a more muted color with ties to sage and honeydew and it goes well with more than you would think. This color is exceptionally popular in silk fabrics and structured coats.
Merlot
A deep red with hints of brown, merlot is very in for this season but is also a super popular color that we have definitely seen before as it is so versatile. Merlot is super chic and can be worn both casually and formally. Wine tones are great for the colder seasons because they add depth and a sense of richness to a look.
Neon
Not specific to any certain color, neon is another recurring favorite. Whether it is green, orange or yellow, hits and highlights of neon have been seen everywhere on the icons of street style. Hailey Bieber is someone who has been consistently representing this trend with her neon blazers, trench coats and sneakers.
Pink
Pink is a daring but also subtle way to liven up your neutral color palette this season. You can try it in a sweater, a pair of trousers or pull a full Chanel move and rock a full suit. If your style is a little more reserved but you still want to try this bold color, opt for a pink tee shirt under a neutral colored jacket.
Purple
Purple can definitely be a tricky and intimidating color to style as it doesn’t go with much, but here, we are speaking specifically about lavender. An odd color to be seen so much in the fall and winter as it lives in the pastel family and screams spring. Last month at fashion week it was seen on the runways in dress, coat, sweater and even hat form so you have plenty of options.
Regardless, no matter which color you choose, whether it be from the list above or a favorite of yours that we have not discussed here, do not be afraid to show your personality through your style or to try new things. Fashion is about expressing yourself and looking and feeling good while doing it.
